Our Vision

Provide a safe and inclusive community space for team oriented boxing and fitness training to support mental and physical awareness and growth for at-risk youth and adults

Our Mission

  • To provide team-oriented boxing and fitness training and science-backed philosophy to support mental & physical awareness to build individual growth;
  • To provide a safe and fully equipped community space and boxing gym for fitness and recreation for at-risk youth and adults;
  • To provide training to prepare boxers to develop skills to compete locally, nationally, and internationally
  • To offer regular self-defense and fitness options for the promotion of physical and mental health for all participants; 
  • To utilize boxing and fitness programming to encourage physical and personal development for youth and adults;  
  • To provide effective and research based coaching and mentorship to at-risk youth and adults; 
  • To provide the aforestated programs for the purpose of decreasing at-risk behaviors among youth and adults and,
  • To increase community awareness and involvement relating to encouraging social and healthy lifestyles for at-risk youth and adults.

President

Reginald Harrison is a retired Federal Government Employee with over 30 years of experience assisting veterans, widows/ widowers and their dependents in acquiring entitled benefits.  He is also a US Army Veteran working in areas including combat arms, extensive emergency medical experience to include Allergy immunology and pediatric care, driver/liaison for Major General (R) Fred Gorden. Reginald also has over 37 years of experience in boxing, including amateur boxer in the US Army, amateur boxing coach, referee, and official.   He has also coached and trained professional boxers. 

Vice-President

Jill Marriott is a 23-year teaching veteran of the Columbia County School System in Evans, Georgia. She is a lifelong resident of the CSRA. Beyond being a wife to Leon and a mom to Anna, there is nothing she loves better than helping the people closest to her in her community. Through the sport of boxing, she is continually growing her circle one person at a time!

Secretary/Treasurer

Susan Messick has been an engineer for the past 35 years at the Savannah River Site and is a partner in Poland-Immel Engineering, LLP, which develops custom engineered solutions for industrial partners.   She holds a Masters in Engineering from Auburn University.  She is the District Emergency Coordinator for the Amateur Radio Emergency Services for the Eastern Central District.  Susan has been married to Chuck for the past 16 years and enjoys spending time with their family and 5 grandchildren.  They are very active and enjoy taking self-supported bicycle trips and have been riding their way state by state across the country.  Susan has had a lifelong passion for health and fitness and has recently obtained her Certification in Personal Training from NASM.  She also enjoys boxing, which started when her husband gifted her a boxing training class for her birthday 10 years ago.  Susan has been on the board of several community organizations and is excited to contribute to the House of Champions Boxing and Fitness Club. 

Board Member

Rodney Brown is Assistant Chief of the Columbia County Juvenile Court, where he handles and process cases on youth that have been accused of committing delinquent acts. He attended Savannah State University on a football scholarship and also acquired his Bachelor’s degree from Savannah State University in Criminal Justice. He is a registered boxing inspector with the Georgia Boxing Association. Rodney has been a member of the Augusta Football Official Association for the past 25 years and currently serves as a board member and on the field football official. He is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity where he serves as a committee member for several community related programs and fundraiser. Rodney has been married to his wife Kelah for the past 23 years and together they have three beautiful children and one energetic grandson. In his spare time Rodney enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending quality time with members of his family. 

Board Member

Brian Stutts is a semi-retired court administrator.  He is also an amateur and professional boxing official since 1983.  Brian is also a Georgia Boxing Hall of Fame inductee.
